Sport Unleashed Twilight series - Thursday 18 Feb

We got some light wind from the North so used the short course for 6 races. The new club trailer was used for the first time. Go to:
http://picasaweb.google.com/smokin.russell for photos of how the trailer came together.
Heavyweights started the night in about 5-6 knts, Ken joining us for the first time in about a year but with only a 4 metre suffered from lack of horsepower. 3 winners from the 3 races with Alex, Nicko, Russell all getting the gun.
Lightweights battled it out with some close racing, Barry getting two guns and Wayne the other. The last race night in two weeks time will be interesting as these two, along with Grant not back too far, are having a good battle for overall honours. Brian didn't do his chances much good when he missed a mark while leading the first race, pays to listen at the briefing, or not hit the lead on the first lap.
We finished after 6 races to open the "bar" in the trailer to celebrate a major project completed. Wayne thanked those involved and then was thanked himself for driving this project. Of course the wind then picked up a bit so we had an all in race to test a new software update which Marg won in a borrowed kart having come along for the celebrations.
Results out soon.
Next week most will be at 90 Mile Beach so no racing. The last race night will be 4 March.
Last chance for anyone to let me know about 90 Mile Beach trip, now a 3 day event as everyone is going to be there Thursday. At this stage we have over 30 karts plus lots of supporters and have a couple of cabins I could squeeze people in to. Updates direct to those down to go with all the final details.
